Qualifications:
• 16-20 years of age,
as of the last day of the Fair
• Never married, never having had a child
• Able to be on the fairgrounds Thursday through Sunday
Requirements of Competition:
• Contestants must submit an application with photo no later
than July 6th.
• Mandatory rehearsal held Tuesday evening, July 6th, at the fairgrounds
• All contestants should arrive at the Grange Building on the fairgrounds by
5:30
p.m. on July 8th to prepare for interviews beginning at 6 p.m.
• Private interview with the judges. Girls should dress for a job interview
and wear either a sundress or an interview suit.
• Stage competition:
Part I: Each contestant is presented to the audience.
Part 2: Each contestant answers two questions, one of which she will know in
advance. The other will be from her application. Girls should wear aAwards and Prizes:
• Miss Congeniality (picked by the contestants), and Miss Photogenic (picked by the judges) will receive trophies.
• Runner-up will receive a sash, trophy, and bouquet of flowers. If seven or more girls participate, a Second Runner- Up will receive a sash and trophy.
• Queen will receive a crown, sash, large trophy, crown pin,
bouquet of flowers, free admission to the fair for the weekend, publicity on the
pageant Web site, and the opportunity to make appearances throughout the year.
Requirements of Reign:
• Must attend the fair until closing Thursday night, must be present for the crowning of the Princess and Junior Princess on Friday, must spend at least 3hours at the fair on both Saturday and Sunday.
• Must wear the crown and sash at all times while on the
fairgrounds and be properly dressed. (No frayed jeans, slogan t-shirts, short
shorts, or navels ........
showing. Skirts and summer dresses preferred.)
• Must be available for various parades and appearances in North Stonington and the surrounding areas throughout the year.
• Must be present to crown the next Queen.
• The first runner-up may attend the fair as she pleases, but is encouraged to wear her sash while on the fairgrounds and she must adhere to the dress code.

PRINCESS CONTEST

• 11-15 years of age as of the last day of the fair.
• Able to be on the fairgrounds Friday through Sunday
Requirements of Competition:
• All contestants must submit an application with photo no later than July 7th.
• Mandatory rehearsal held Wednesday evening, July 7th, at the fair grounds.
• All contestants should arrive at the Grange Building by 5:15 p.m. on Friday, July 9th to prepare for interviews beginning immediately after the Junior Princess interviews.
• Private interview with the judges. Questions based on contestant application.
• Stage competition:
Part I: Each contestant is presented to the audience.
Part II: Each contestant answers 2 questions, one of which she will know in advance. The other will be from her application.
Attire:
• Semi-formal, knee length dresses.
Awards and Prizes:
• First runner-up will receive a sash, trophy and bouquet of flowers. If seven or more girls participate, a Second Runner- Up will receive a sash and trophy.
• Princess will receive a crown, sash, large trophy, crown
pin, bouquet of flowers, free admission to the fair for the weekend, publicity
on the pageant Web site and the opportunity to make
appearances throughout the year.

• 7-10 years of age.
• Able to attend the fair Friday through Sunday.
Requirements of Competition:
• Contestants must submit an application with photo by July 7th.
• Mandatory rehearsal held Wednesday evening, July 7th, at the fairgrounds. Parents welcome to watch and ask questions!
• Girls should arrive at the Grange Building on the fairgrounds by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 9th to prepare for interviews beginning at 5 p.m.
• Private interview. Simple questions based on contestant application.
• On Stage – Each contestant will be introduced and will have a simple conversation with the host.
Attire:
• Sundress or skirt outfit.
Awards and Prizes:
• First runner-up will receive a sash, trophy and bouquet of flowers. If seven or more girls participate, a Second Runner- Up will receive a sash and trophy.
• Junior Princess will receive a crown, sash, large trophy,
crown pin, bouquet of flowers, publicity on the pageant Web site and the
opportunity to make
appearances throughout the year.
• All Junior Princess contestants will receive a trophy!

• The runner-up may attend the fair as she pleases, but is encouraged to wear her sash while on the fairgrounds and must also be dressed nicely.
