GENERAL RULES of the DRAFT HORSE SHOW
  1. All horses must have negative coggins test and rabies shot.
  2. All horses must be of draft horse, draft pony, or mule breeds.
  3. A "Junior" is defined as 18 years of age and under.
  4. Teamsters 18 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult.
  5. Class Entries must be made at time of registration. No late entries will be allowed into a class. All entries must compete when their turn comes up. If an entry passes, it is out of that class unless the Judge rules otherwise.
  6. Only one entry per teamster per class.
  7. Horses must be attended when they are in the staging area (next to the entry gate) and may only be in this area when they are in the next class.
  8. Horses are to be under control at all times and lines must be in hand at all times. Any runaways or out of control horses will be asked to leave the show.
  9. No horses are to be tied together in the ring.
  10. Numbers for placement in classes will be drawn prior to the beginning of classes.
  11. A 5 point deduction will be given for each fault (i.e. ball knocked off cone).
  12. Time will be kept on all events but only used in the case of a tie. If there is also a tie in time the event will be re-run by the entries that are tied.
  13. Horses must walk in and out of the ring for all classes.
  14. Horses are permitted to walk or trot only during the class.
  15. No scotch bottom shoes or scotch collars will be permitted.
  16. Drivers in wagons must be seated at all times while they are in the ring.
  17. Using legs or stopping during the log skid is not permitted. Points will be deducted.

The Judges’ decision will be final.

Teamster of the Day to be awarded.
Six ribbons to each class.
