RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Competition at the North Stonington Agricultural Fair is open to all, and is not limited to residents of North Stonington.

  • Donations to the grounds by all adults $12.00; children under 12 free; senior citizens $6.00 only on Saturday. Parking FREE.

  • Sunday Closing: Commercial exhibits must stay open until at least 6:00 P.M. on Sunday. They are encouraged to stay open until 7:00 P.M. or later. NO VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED ON THE GROUNDS UNTIL AFTER 7:00 P.M. ON SUNDAY. Exhibits must be removed by 10:00 P.M. on Sunday.

  • No person will be allowed to interfere with judges while in discharge of their duties and any person so interfering will be excluded from competition. Competent judges will be employed to judge all exhibits and contests. Decisions of the Judges are final.

  • The Fair Committee will provide security Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. No one will be allowed to remain on grounds at night without express permission from the Fair Committee. Fair will not be responsible for exhibits or property left after 10 P.M. Sunday.

  • The Fair Committee will not be responsible for any accidents that may occur on the grounds, in the buildings, or parking areas, or by anyone participating in competitive activities.

  • Vehicles parked illegally will be towed away at OWNER’S EXPENSE.

  • The Fair Committee will not be responsible for any loss or damage of any article or animal exhibited at the Fair. Due care and caution will be exercised to prevent loss or damage.

  • NO PETS ALLOWED.

  • Commercial exhibits will be allowed on the grounds only if permission is secured in advance from the superintendent of concessions. Concessionaires must comply with the laws of the State of Connecticut regarding gambling and immoral shows and must not change their line of business or sublet without consent of said Superintendent.

  • Entries will be disqualified if regulations are not followed.

  • NO alcoholic beverages shall be allowed on the Fairgrounds.

  • The Fair Committee has the right to refuse admittance to or remove anyone from the Fairgrounds for just cause.

  • All animals entered in the Fair must conform to the Health Standards as are set by the State of Connecticut Department of Agriculture.

  • In case of bad weather, premium money may be prorated.

  • The grounds will close Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 12:30 or 1/2 hour after the pulls end, whichever is later.

  • No vehicles allowed on Fairgrounds during Fair hours.

  • Any situations not covered by these rules shall be left to the discretion of the North Stonington Agricultural Fair, Inc. Committee.

  • Shirts and shoes must be worn.

  • ANIMAL PULLERS TAKE NOTICE: Ox, horse, and pony pullers will enter and exit the Pull Ring through the Horse Show ring at designated times. Entering or exiting the Pull Ring by any other route will result in disqualification and forfeiture of prize money. Thank you in advance for helping to make our Fair a safer place.
