There will be a pony pulling contest on Friday evening, starting at 6:00 p.m. There will be two classes, 46 inches and 50 inches. Ponies not to exceed 50 inches.
This pony pull will be run by the rules and regulations of the Connecticut Pony Pullers’ Association. Current rabies & negative coggins required.

All oxen must be weighed in at the Fair Grounds, North Stonington. Scales will be open between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., Saturday. Starting time is 11:00 a.m. sharp.

2400 lbs and under
2800 lbs and under
NEW ~~~~ 16/16... open to kids under 16 years of age and bulls under 1600 lbs... % pull
3200 lbs and under
Over 3200 lbs.
This Ox pull will be run by the rules and regulations of the Connecticut Ox Drivers and Owners Association.
Use of plastic and fiberglass stick is prohibited. No excessive face whipping will be allowed. First violation means loss of hitch. Second violation means automatic disqualification. Decisions of superintendent are final. Health papers will be checked.
George W. Miner Memorial Trophy
The George W. Miner Memorial Trophy will be awarded annually to the winning team in the 2800 pound and under class of the Draft Oxen Pull. The trophy is presented by the family of George W. Miner, a lifelong North Stonington resident and long-time Fair Committee member. For more than 30 years, he was an active member of the Fair's Grounds committee and during that time, George built many of the drags used in the pulling contests. A particular fan of the ox pull, he could always be found ringside with his family on Saturday nights during the Fair.
Horse Pulling Contest

This horse pull will be run by the Approved Rules and Regulations of the Eastern Draft Horse Association, Inc. To move up a class, you must have a fresh horse.
Teams will be weighed in on Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Fair Grounds, North Stonington, CT.
If drug test is performed on any pull, prize money will not be paid until results of test have been returned to Fair committee.
